Die Casting

Depending on the type of die casting, a cold chamber die casting machine or a hot chamber die casting machine is required. Compared to other casting techniques, the die-cast surface is flatter and has a higher dimensional consistency.

The temperature gradient of the casting depends mainly on:

(1) Properties of the cast alloy. For example, the better the thermal conductivity of the cast alloy and the greater the latent heat of crystallization, the stronger the ability of the casting to have a uniform temperature and the smaller the temperature gradient.

(2) The better the heat storage capacity and thermal conductivity of the mold, the stronger the chilling ability of the casting, and the greater the temperature gradient of the casting.

(3) Increasing the pouring temperature will reduce the cooling capacity of the mold and thus reduce the temperature gradient of the casting.
